Katana integrationfor QuickBooks
Keep Katana as the manufacturing source and configure customer, product, sales, purchasing and completed-production accounting flows to QuickBooks.
Connect the existing manufacturing system
FOR:FLOW supports configured Katana source records such as customers, products or materials, sales orders and purchase orders. Choose the relevant invoice, receipt, purchase-order or bill outcome for each flow. The connector is useful when the production team already operates in Katana and the accounting team needs a controlled handoff.
Use completed-production evidence for cost entries
The documented manufacturing-order recipe targets a journal entry from completed Katana production, using the available cost information and agreed accounts. It does not mean that creating any draft manufacturing order should post a financial result. Configure returns and product matching separately, and preserve existing accounting references where the rules require it.
What to know before you start
This is an external Katana integration, not the native FOR:FACTORY workflow. Confirm enabled event types and source cost fields before expecting accounting output.
Practical questions
Do I need Katana to use FOR:FACTORY?
No. FOR:FACTORY is native. This connector is the alternative for a business retaining Katana.
Should a draft production order create a cost journal?
The documented production flow is for completed manufacturing orders. Respect the configured lifecycle trigger.
