Inventory managementfor QuickBooks
Run purchasing, warehouse stock, sales orders and fulfillment in FOR:INVENTORY, with native lots, serials and stock movements rather than a separate inventory connector.
A warehouse workflow inside your platform
FOR:INVENTORY is the place to manage physical products: where they are stored, what is available, what has been committed and what still needs to arrive. Inventory products connect to purchasing, receiving and sales fulfillment. Warehouses and bins make locations explicit, while lots and serials preserve the identity of tracked stock.
Connect the document to the movement
A receipt adds stock; a saved shipment consumes it. Transfers, counts and adjustments explain other changes instead of leaving operators to edit a balance manually. Sales and manufacturing commitments help distinguish on-hand from available quantities. Follow the linked documents to understand an order's receiving, shipping and billing progress without treating those as the same event.
What to know before you start
Operational stock belongs in FOR:INVENTORY. Agree product mapping, opening quantities and costing before adoption; avoid independently maintaining the same physical stock in two systems.
Practical questions
Do I need Unleashed or Katana?
No. FOR:INVENTORY is native and does not require a separate warehouse application. Moving from an existing inventory system requires a planned product and opening-stock setup.
Is on-hand stock the same as available stock?
No. Existing reservations and fulfillment commitments can reduce what is available to promise or consume, even while the goods are physically in the warehouse.
Continue the workflow
Warehouses and bin locations
Organize stock across warehouses and bin locations, so receiving, picking and transfers refer to a specific physical place instead of a company-wide quantity.
Sales order management
Capture a customer's order with agreed prices and delivery details, reserve stock and follow fulfillment and invoicing without confusing an order with a shipment.
Manufacturing management
Run native manufacturing with versioned bills of materials, material picks, ordered process steps, quality checks and recorded finished output in FOR:FACTORY.
